Well spring has sprung and is amongst us, all I can say is thank goodness. This winter has been very long and very busy for many of us, given the winter storms we had in between December and January and then another storm that hit in February. If the past winter months are going to reflect what is coming up, we are going to have a very busy summer.

I know we have also been busy at the London Claims Association. We participated in the first ever hockey challenge with the Windsor Chapter. Thanks to the support of Belfor, Enterprise and Firstonsite we made the trek down to Windsor with some of the best hockey players from London and came away with a tie, at least that is what Windsor is saying and who argues with the host. I will say this I look forward to the next game in the challenge which we hope to hold in 2010 in London. So keep looking to the website for updates as to dates and times that the event will be held.

The Curling event once again was a great success and an even better day of teamwork and fun!

Thanks to the organizers Calla Leitch and Gary Annandale for all of their hard work and time in putting together such a great event. Thanks also to all of our sponsors for your continued support in making this event happen.

Once again our annual Trade Show has come and gone. I am happy to say that we had even more vendors this year then last. Peggy Way and Leona Anthony did an amazing job in running the event this year. I want to personally thank them as well as everyone who participated in the event and attended. Without you this event would never be possible.

Still to come we have the Past President’s night on May 21st which Calla Leitch is organizing. We will be sad to see her leave the board and want to thank her for all of her hard work and dedication to the board over the past seven years. It is people like Calla that make the association possible. Don’t forget our upcoming golf tournament on August 20, 2009. We are happy to announce that we are going back to a dinner style event and I will only say that further details will follow, so keep on eye on the website.

Finally we are looking for 3 directors to join our board. If you are interested or have any questions please feel free to contact either myself or a member of the current board. We would love for you to be a member of our board.
